Backup Policies

Backing up your website is crucial for keeping your important files safe. By storing copies of your website's data in a secure place, you can quickly restore your site if something goes wrong. The main goal of backing up is to ensure that your website is protected and can be recovered no matter what happens.

Local Backup –
Local backups are a straightforward way to protect your website, but they come with some risks. They generally offer less security and are vulnerable to malware attacks. Many people choose local backups because they’re cheaper, but this can be risky as it might jeopardize your website if something goes wrong.
To avoid problems, it’s important to keep at least 40% of your storage space free. This ensures that your backups can run smoothly and efficiently.

R1Soft Backup Licenses:
On the other hand, we offer R1Soft backup solutions. R1Soft’s Continuous Data Protection (CDP) is a robust option for safeguarding your important data. It works with a backup agent and requires installing a secondary server along with the CDP software.
Here’s how it works: The backup agent performs scheduled backups within specific intervals. After the initial backup, only changes since the last backup are saved, which means faster backups and less data transfer. This method also reduces the storage space needed to keep your backups for a long time.
R1Soft Backup services start at Rs. 1000 per month for 100 GB of storage.

Rsync Backups:
This option gives you more flexibility compared to the previous one. With rsync-based solutions, you can use various tools to manage your backups and protect your data. Rsync offers ample storage space, similar to the disk space of a Cloud, and it works seamlessly with Linux servers. Another tool you might consider is rdiff-backup, which provides a similar approach to rsync for incremental backups.
Rsync storage starts at Rs. 750 per month for 100 GB.
If you prefer not to use our backup solutions, we recommend exploring other options to ensure your website's data and files are well protected.
Keep in mind that backup solutions are not typically included with default Cloud hosting plans. We strongly advise setting up remote backups to safeguard your website data if you're not using our services.
