Types of Requests We Handle
We get various types of requests about customer data:
Data Requests: These involve official investigations or legal actions and must usually go through a formal Indian process. We respond according to the law.
Data request refers to requests related to clients' accounts involving official criminal probes and other legal activities. Except in limited emergency conditions, we require data requests to be made through a formal Indian verified process and method, and Cloud99 responds to these requests according to the law.

● Requests from outside India may need a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT)
● Other legal processes like Civil Investigative Demands
Preservation Requests:These ask us to keep customer information safe for ongoing investigations. To process these, we need:
● Details about the account(s) involved
● Information about the investigating agency or legal case (requests should be on official law enforcement letterhead)
● Confirmation that the correct legal steps are being taken to access the data.
● A valid contact email and phone number
Emergency Request: We only handle emergency requests if there's an immediate threat to life. We respond quickly in these critical situations but always aim to maintain strong customer relationships.

Sometimes, we might not be able to provide the requested information right away. Cloud99 also reserves the right to ask for a copy of the original complaint and any related details.

Fees:
Cloud99 may charge for handling unnecessary requests based on the situation. R1Soft Backup starts at Rs.1000 per month for 100 GB of storage.
Available Information
Based on the legal process provided, we can respond to the following types of requests:
Non-Content Data: We can provide basic information about the account if the request is verified. This includes:
Name
Email addresses
Date and time the account was created
Billing details
IP logs
Content Data: We will only provide actual content, like website files or email content, if there is a valid search warrant from a legally authorized entity.
